Becoming the Love We Seek

We all say we are looking for unconditional love - a love that accepts us as we are, without judgment, without limits, without demands.
Yet, most of the time, we arrive carrying a heavy bag of conditions, judgments, opinions and apprehensions.
We want to be loved, we want to be accepted, we want to feel safe, but only with condition if people and life moves according to our plan.
This contradiction is the struggle of the human heart: asking for freedom while holding on to control, seeking openness while carrying judgements, expectations and our idea of safety.
But here’s the truth - unconditional love doesn’t start outside of us. It begins when we can sit with ourselves without conditions. When we can look, see, understand, analyse, accept and befriend our own flaws, wounds, and messiness with compassion, without any judgment.
Only then can we extend the same spacious love to others.
So, maybe the journey is not about finding someone who will give us unconditional love, but about becoming someone who lives it.
And that’s the beginning of Yoga!
