Meeting Ourselves in a Thousand Disguises

We meet ourselves time and again in a thousand disguises on the path of life." Carl Jung

On the path of life, we continually encounter reflections of ourselves. Every person we meet, every challenge we face, every place we go, and every unfolding situation acts as a mirror, revealing aspects of our own being.

Sometimes these reflections appear as joy, sometimes as pain; as love, sometimes as fear.

Often, we do not recognize them, for the Self wears countless masks - in people, circumstances, or events - each offering a lesson about who we truly are.

Life, in its wisdom, brings us back to ourselves again and again, inviting us to witness, understand, and embrace our inner world. Those who irritate us, the situations that frustrate us, the moments that delight us - all reflect our own patterns, attachments, and hidden potentials.

By confronting and integrating these reflections, we embark on a journey of self-awareness and growth.

It’s not easy, we may stumble, falter, and fall - yet we rise, practice, and try again. Punah Punah.

Yoga teaches us to see these reflections clearly, to step back with awareness, and to meet each disguise not with judgment but with equanimity. In this way, the thousand disguises become guides, revealing the One Self that underlies all appearances.
