A 6-week journey of gentle yoga, breath, and mindful living rooted in the wisdom of yoga therapy

About the series
Breathe Easy (BE) Movement in the Park is a 6-week journey of gentle yoga, breath, and mindful living.

Step away from the busyness of life and into the healing rhythm of nature. This welcoming six-class series invites you to release tension, move with greater ease, and reconnect with yourself through gentle yoga, mindful breathing, meditation, and simple somatic practices.
Rooted in the wisdom of yoga therapy, each session offers accessible movement and practical tools to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Classes build gently from week to week, helping participants develop practices that can be carried into everyday life to manage stress, improve balance, cultivate resilience, and support healthy aging.
No yoga experience is needed, and all bodies and abilities are welcome. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace and honor their individual needs.
Details:
• 6 weekly sessions (August & September)
• Thursdays, 6 PM, 75 minutes
• Elias Fry Barn, Knob Hill Park
• $20 per class, walk-ins welcome
• All practices can be adapted to a chair-based option
Bring a yoga mat or blanket, water, and an open mind. Come as you are, breathe deeply, and enjoy the simple medicine of movement, breath, and community in the beauty of the outdoors.
Meet Shikha
For Shikha, yoga is more than movement; it is a practice of reconnecting with ourselves and the world around us. As a Yoga Therapist and founder of Sampurna Yoga, she creates welcoming spaces where people can slow down, breathe, and find greater ease in body and mind.
Drawing from the wisdom of Eastern yogic traditions and the evidence-informed principles of Western yoga therapy, Shikha offers an inclusive approach that honors the uniqueness of each individual. Her classes are accessible to all bodies, abilities, and levels of experience.
Whether supporting people through stress, chronic pain, life transitions, or simply the demands of everyday life, Shikha weaves together gentle movement, mindful breathing, meditation, and somatic practices to nurture balance, resilience, and well-being.
She believes that yoga is not about perfecting a pose but about cultivating a deeper relationship with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
Shikha warmly invites you to step onto the mat and experience a practice that harmonizes body, mind, and soul.
